In the project “safe hAAven 5G++” for secure data transmission for traffic flow optimization in Smart Cities, Zentrum für Digitale Entwicklung GmbH developed a survey on cybersecurity in German Smart City projects, which was aimed at decision-makers from municipalities and inter-municipal cooperations. The aim of the survey was to gain a better understanding of how data security and data protection are handled in these projects. The results offer valuable insights into the current status, handling, and development potential of IT security topics in German Smart Cities.
